Pray Your Way
Sometimes the hardest part of our day can be finding time to just be - to be with our thoughts, to figure out what’s going on inside ourselves, to pray. How do we find time to fit it all in? And once we do find time to pause, how do we even go about figuring out how to pray? Join Hilary this week as we talk about prayer, look at our relationships with God, ourselves, and others and how prayer can affect those, and, finally, explore some ways to incorporate prayer into your daily life that you may not have explored before. Everyone can pray, we all just might do it a little differently. Let’s enter into prayer together, whatever that looks like for you. Let’s pray our way, together.
Session I:
You know a lot of prayers by heart. Sometimes you might say those prayers, but maybe you’re just going through the motions. How can we more deeply enter into our prayer life? The answer - relationship. That answer, though, might be more complicated than it sounds. Join Hilary today in a conversation on how prayer is really about our friendship with Christ.
Session I Reflection Question: How do you plan to take some time today to start taking steps to deepen your relationship with God?
Session II:
God invites each of us to have a relationship with him, but we must also have a relationship with ourselves and with others. Through prayer, we are nourished by God’s outpouring of love for us. When we live out our spirituality, and make our life a prayer, we are caring for ourselves which in turn allows us to care for others. Join Hilary today to talk about how prayer can lead to a life filled with love.
Reflection Question: How can you make your life a prayer today? How can you exercise your spirituality today?
Session III:
Today, as we close out this mini-retreat series, Hilary will look at a few practical ways you can truly “pray your way” through each day. Find something that speaks to the way in which you can figure out how to make your life a prayer.
Reflection Question: What are some ways we can all live intentionally?
