High School Ministries understands that teens are people and not just one size fits all program. We understand that teens want to belong to a trusted group of friends and adult mentors, who accept them for who they really are. We understand teens are truth seekers and want authenticity in their friendships, witness and answers to the "Big Questions" of life and faith. We also understand that families are busy and that you parents are pulled in so many directions due to your teen's schedules.
Welcome to St. John XXIII High School Small Groups. This is our way of being flexible with your busy schedule, but also meeting the basic needs of your teenager through authentic friendship and mentorship of living in this world as a Catholic. So what does this look like?
- Each Small Group is gender and grade specific
- Each Small Group is made up of 3-5 teens (usually already friends and they do not need to be Catholic)
- Each Small Group will pick a day, time and meeting spot that works best for their group (this can change based on which season we are in).
- Each Small Group is lead by a fully trained and vetted Adult Mentor (groups are welcome to pick their own mentors)
The first step in starting or joining a Small Group is to simply fill out the "Student Small Group Form" below and we will be in contact with you. If you are a parent or an adult wanting to mentor, please fill out the "Interested Mentor Form" below and we will set up a time to meet.
