Closing Time
Let’s admit it. Human beings aren’t necessarily the best at dealing with change. Whether it’s transitioning through seasons of life, or a global pandemic that brings everything to a screeching halt, perhaps we should learn how to better cope when life throws us a curve ball. This week we’ll take look a look at embracing change, stepping out of our comfort zone and having the courage to be a positive presence in the world as we transition from summer to fall - all inspired from a hit 90’s rock anthem. Session I: Turn All of the Lights on Over Every Boy and Every Girl
Sometimes change is forced upon us, while other times we avoid it at all costs. Today we’ll take a look at how we examine the areas of our life in need of change.
Reflection Question: What is one aspect of your life you would like to see change? Take time today to pray through an examination of conscience.
Session II: You Don’t Have To Go Home, But You Can’t Stay Here
So you want to change something? This can be uncomfortable. Let’s take a look at how staying in our comfort zone is holding us back and how we can take the first step outside of it.
Reflection Questions: When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone? What are the boundaries of your comfort zone and what will it take to break through them?
Session III: Open All the Doors and Let You Out Into the World
OK - you are ready to take the first step, but you don’t have to do it alone. We are in this together as members of the Body of Christ. We each play a part in this mission called LIFE.
Reflection: With your positive change in hand and supported by the Body of Christ, what mission territory is God calling you to enter?
