Stranleigh: The House That Spark Plugs Built!
50^Northers, did you enjoy the Christmas decorations at Wildwood Manor House last month? Or haven’t you ever seen the house at all? Either way, you really haven’t seen the REAL Manor House in all its year-round beauty! Here’s your chance! All parishioners 50 and older are invited to a 50^North private tour of the Stranahan estate at Wildwood Metropark. On Sunday, January 30th, you will be able to tour the home with your own docent who will explain how the home came to be and the importance of the Stranahan family to the Toledo community.
Here's the info you need to know:
Wildwood Metropark is located at 5100 Central Ave., Toledo (just east of Reynolds Rd.) You have special parking next door to the Manor House and guests may be dropped at the door.
The house is mostly accessible and has a wheel chair-size elevator between floors.
Unless the Metroparks close due to weather, the tours will take place. Photography is allowed, and masks are mandatory.
Ten people allowed per group and your sign-up group options are listed below. We will meet at the church 45 minutes ahead of the tour time and then drive to the park. Please offer to take others so there is plenty of parking. Allow 25 minutes’ drive time from church. Questions, call Joan Schroeder at 419-874-3743. Sign-up continues until all the slots are filled, so DO IT NOW! You’re going to be AMAZED!
